SUMMER 2024

●PUPPY PLUS – For dogs/puppies 8 wks. to 5 months

   (NO PRE-REQUISITE FOR ENROLLMENT)

This class was created for young dogs & puppies bringing together two of our best classes into one action packed session. Your puppy will learn basic manners (e.g. sit, down & come) including housebreaking/crate training tips, biting/mouthing & general dog care information. In addition, Puppy Plus offers activities that create body-awareness and confidence in the young dog, ready-to-tackle any task that lies ahead. This class is designed for both pets & performance dogs.

  • Class Time: 6:50pm – 7:50pm (1st night 7:20pm – 8:20pm)
  • Puppies attend all classes

  • NOTE #3: This class will be held outdoors under a shelter house

● BEGINNING OBEDIENCE – For dogs 5 months and older

Covers the basics: Handler Focus, Sit & Down, Come when called, Sit-Stay/ Down-Stay, Leave-It, Leash Walking, Stand & more. All exercises in this class will be performed on leash.

(No prerequisite required for enrollment)

  • (1) Mon. June 3rd, 2024 5:30pm – 6:30pm (1st night 5:30pm – 7:00pm)
  • (2) Wed. June 5th, 2024 5:30pm – 6:30pm (1st night 5:30pm – 7:00pm)

  • Dogs DO NOT come to the 1st class (lecture 1.5 hrs.)

● ADVANCED OBEDIENCE 1

THIS CLASS NOT OFFERED THIS SESSION

This class is for dogs that have completed Beginning Obedience or its equivalent. Advanced Obedience I begins work towards off leash handling, distance work + distractions & much more. Dogs having completed classes at other training facilities must contact Marilyn ([email protected]) to verify your dog’s current skill level is appropriate for this class.

  • Class Time: 7:20pm – 8:20pm (1st night 7:45pm – 8:45pm)
  • Dogs attend all classes

  • Location: Clark County Fairgrounds, Annex Bldg.

  • Springfield, OH
  • NOTE #1: Final class to be held on Tues. May 14th, 2024
  • NOTE #2: No makeup is available for this class

● ADVANCED OBEDIENCE 2

This class is for dogs that have completed Advanced Obedience I or equivalent. This class continues off leash handling, distance work & distractions. Dogs will also be introduced to retrieving & drop on recall. Dogs having completed classes at other training facilities must contact Marilyn ([email protected]) to verify your dog’s current skill level is appropriate for this class.

● SPECIAL ISSUES COUNSELING

Having a behavioral issue with your dog that you can’t resolve ? Work one on one with Marilyn & learn how to extinguish unwanted behaviors. We will design the exercises specific to your needs. For dogs of all ages & all breeds. Location to be agreed upon by both parties (your house or public location).
